The Batteau Maple Run departs the private landing in Lynchburg – Saturday June 27th, 2020

Thank you to Curtis Daily for sending in photos he took of the batteau Maple Run departing the private landing near Lynchburg on Saturday, June 27th, 2020.

The water looks like it was clearing up in these photos. Good to see the Maple Run going on down the river to destinations to be determined.

By the way, as many batteau people remember Dewey Wood each year. Dewey was a member of the Maple Run. Brian Coffield said he visited the Dewey Plaque in it’s secret location mounted on the rock wall on the way to Wingina. Brian said it was cool reading the words line by line as the water dropped so he could see them.
