Discontinuance of Hatton Ferry

Public Hearing
Monday, March 8, 2010, 9 – 11 a.m.
 
The Virginia department of Transportation will hold a public hearing regarding the discontinuance of maintenance of that portion of State Route 625 in Albemarle and Buckingham Counties known as Hatton Ferry, between the normal water shorelines of the James River.  Discontinuance ends state maintenance of the ferry but the corridor remains a public way under the jurisdiction of the county governments.
 
Anyone who wishes to comment about the intended discontinuance can do so from 9-11 a.m. on Monday, March 8, 2010 at VDOT’s Charlottesville Residency located  at 701 VDOT Way in Charlottesville.  Written comments must be received by no later than 12 p.m. March 8.  Please contact VDOT’s Charlottesville  Residency at 434-293-0011 with any questions.
 
As prescribed by Section 33.1-150 of the Code of Virginia, this matter will be considered at a Commonwealth Transportation Board meeting following the close of the comment period.
